Greta Thunberg Puts 'Haters' In Their Place With Stunning Twitter Thread

The teen climate change activist said she didn't "understand why adults would choose to spend their time mocking and threatening teenagers and children for promoting science."

Greta Thunberg took time out on Wednesday from lobbying world leaders on climate change to address the attacks she’s received for her efforts.

Thunberg’s work has inspired millions, but, as a result, she’s been mocked by many adults including Donald Trump, Fox News host Laura Ingraham and Daily Wire journalist Michael Knowles. During a panel on Fox News earlier this week, Knowles called the activist, who has Asperger’s syndrome, “mentally ill.”

Thunberg blistered her opponents in a Twitter thread in which she asked why her opponents are coming after her with personal attacks instead of addressing the science she is citing.

Here we go again...
As you may have noticed, the haters are as active as ever - going after me, my looks, my clothes, my behaviour and my differences.
They come up with every thinkable lie and conspiracy theory. (Thread->) pic.twitter.com/5rS2VpZj00

It seems they will cross every possible line to avert the focus, since they are so desperate not to talk about the climate and ecological crisis.
Being different is not an illness and the current, best available science is not opinions - it’s facts. ->

I honestly don’t understand why adults would choose to spend their time mocking and threatening teenagers and children for promoting science, when they could do something good instead. I guess they must simply feel so threatened by us. ->

But don’t waste your time giving them any more attention.
The world is waking up. Change is coming wether they like it or not.

Thunberg spoke at the United Nations Climate Action Summit on Monday, scolding world leaders for ignoring global climate problems and focusing on profits and economic growth instead.
