After nearly three weeks of separation, Brad Pitt has finally reunited with some of his children, multiple news outlets reported Thursday. This is reportedly the first time the 52-year-old actor has seen any of them since wife Angelina Jolie filed for divorce in September.

According to People, the “Big Short” actor and his children met Saturday, Oct. 8, under the supervision of a therapist, per the estranged couple’s temporary divorce agreement recommended by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).

The DCFS is still investigating Pitt for the alleged altercation with his oldest son, 15-year-old Maddox, that occurred on a private plane last month. The FBI is also reportedly “continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued,” according to Entertainment Tonight.

Jolie and Pitt evidently reached an agreement last month granting the actress full physical custody of the couple’s six children per her request in the initial filing; Pitt is allowed temporary visitation rights.

Pitt has also voluntarily participated in random drug and alcohol tests, and his first reportedly came back negative.

“Brad loves his children more than anything in this world, and they matter more than anything else to him,” a source recently told People. “He will do whatever it takes to be with them, now and always.”

Both actors and their children will undergo family counseling until their current agreement expires Oct. 20. The DCFS will then decide how to proceed, by either implementing further regulations under the advisement of an assigned social worker or sending Jolie and Pitt to court.
